| The changeable weather conditions at the Kent track made for some superb racing which saw riders Cal Crutchlow and Leon Camier fire from the line into second and third positions. Crutchlow soon passed Suzuki rider, Tom Sykes, on lap two while Camier dropped back to fourth behind fellow Honda rider Eugene Laverty.
Crutchlow was soon to be hunted down by a determined Laverty and embarked on a spectacular battle with the pair exchanging places numerous times in the damp conditions. Crutchlow, the 20-year-old, who was crowned champion at the previous round, was sure to show his strength at the 2.3 mile circuit and brought his Pirelli-shod Honda CBR600RR home to victory by a narrow margin to take his sixth win of the season.

| Cal Crutchlow: “That was a great race, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Some of the moments with Eugene were very close but I was determined to win and it shows just how strong our team are. It's been a fantastic season for us and I'd like to thank the team, my family, friends and fans for all of their support this year.”
Leon Camier: “I'm pleased with that result especially in the tricky weather conditions. I'd like to thank the team for working so hard this year and congratulations to Cal on his championship win.”
Race team principle Gary Ekerold: “This final race result really reflected the entire season in one race. Cal and Eugene were consistently the top two in the Championship with Tom and Leon slightly behind them. The rest of the field really weren't in the same league. Cal and Leon have been consummate professionals all season long and hopefully we as a team will be announcing our plans pretty soon for 2007.”
Northpoint Ekerold Honda, the 2006 British Supersport Championship winning team, would like to thank all our sponsors, associates, team-members and fans for a fantastic season and all of the support they have received this year.
